Job Description
Associates in our Financial Advisory Services business play a key role in our engagement teams, which typically comprise at least one managing director, vice president, associate and financial analyst. As an associate, your primary activities will include presenting valuation analyses and conclusions internally to review committees, externally to our clients’ senior management and boards of directors, and to fiduciaries; designing and drafting client deliverables; constructing and reviewing valuation and other financial models; performing financial-statement, industry and other quantitative and qualitative assessments; attending due diligence meetings; communicating with clients; assisting with sales and marketing initiatives; and directing the efforts of financial analysts.
Qualifications

Job Description
The Healthcare Group is seeking to complement its Chicago-based team of professionals with a qualified, motivated associate. Deals are roughly 60% M&A, 30% private placements and 10% restructuring. Associates are expected to be interested in an intensive learning experience in middle-market M&A, and to be ready to work long hours in return. Associates are members of deal teams comprising a managing director, vice president, associate and analyst.

Job Description
The open position is for a Financial Analyst based in Houlihan Lokey’s Chicago office, who will be dedicated to the Financial Advisory Services business’s growing Tax & Financial Reporting (TFR) service.
The TFR valuation practice assists clients across a wide range of industries with pre- and post-merger/acquisition purchase price allocation analyses, goodwill impairment issues, equity and intangible asset valuations required for major international corporate restructurings, stock option valuations, and a variety of other valuation needs related to tax planning and/or financial reporting.
The TFR-dedicated Financial Analyst within the Financial Advisory Services business will be a fully integrated member of engagement teams, which could range in size from two to five members or more and be comprised of a combination of managing director, director, senior vice president, vice president, associate and financial analyst. As a Financial Analyst, some of your responsibilities will include developing complex financial models and analyzing financial statements, industry conditions and trends, acquisitions and divestitures, and various investment attributes of publicly traded and privately held securities, as well as writing client presentations and valuation reports. You will also have an opportunity to interact with clients on active engagements and participate in our firm’s marketing efforts. Throughout the Financial Analyst Program, you will work closely with a highly talented, experienced and dedicated staff of professionals that will give you broad exposure to a wide range of industries and highly complex transactions, as well as to our clients’ senior management and senior officers within the firm.
Qualifications
B.A./B.S./B.B.A. in finance, accounting, business or applied economics, with a strong preference for accounting. Course work in accounting and finance. Strong analytical abilities. A fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies and applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of Excel. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members. Exceptional work ethic. Successful candidate will have one to three years of postgraduate valuation or accounting experience. Job Description
As a Financial Analyst in the Industrials Group, you will work on corporate finance engagements for industrial companies, primarily in the automotive, metals and diversified industrial sectors. The group's engagements principally include M&A, capital raising, fairness opinions and strategic advisory assignments. As a dedicated member of our transaction team, you will be responsible for supporting these assignments, with the following responsibilities: (1) Prepare, analyze and explain financial information of a given company and related companies within the respective industry; (2) Perform valuations of companies using traditional valuation methodologies; (3) Prepare Confidential Offering Memorandums, management presentations, buyers lists, marketing pitches, and other presentations; and (4) Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements, on a limited basis.
In addition to executing transactions, the Industrials Group is responsible for providing industry specific knowledge and expertise to the firm. As a member of our team, you will be required to develop industry intelligence and analysis to support this effort including evaluating financial statements, general economic conditions, industry developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and various attributes of publicly traded and private securities. We are seeking senior officer to market and oversee the execution of valuation and lost profits/business damages analyses and other financial advisory services, with a particular emphasis on dispute and financial expert-related opinions and providing testimony as to opinions developed as required.
Job Description: The Director will develop and execute a marketing plan for Houlihan Lokey FAS services in the Northeastern region of the U.S. (including the New York Metro, Boston and Philadelphia regions) with a particular emphasis on dispute consulting services but also including fairness and solvency opinions, general business valuations and certain financial and tax reporting-based valuation products. It is expected that a substantial part of the Director’s time will be spent working directly with leading law firms to increase the understanding of the breadth of applicability of the product and of Houlihan Lokey’s credentials in the dispute resolution field. This program may include periodic presentations on current topics of interest to law firms or bar associations, in-person meetings with leading attorneys, seminar speaking and authoring articles in relevant periodicals. It is expected that other target market segments might include corporate general counsels and/or chief financial officers, private equity firms, leading accounting firms, and other professional intermediaries who are or may become key influencers in relation to the selection of consulting and testifying experts.
The Director will be responsible for serving on Houlihan Lokey’s Dispute Committee, in which capacity he or she will be expected, in conjunction with other senior members of HL’s FAS staff, to provide a rigorous review of Houlihan Lokey’s work product in the dispute field.
The Director will be expected to maintain a high level of technical expertise in the valuation and lost profits/business damages field, and to actively share this knowledge and related best practices with other members of Houlihan Lokey’s financial staff.

Financial analysts in the Corporate Finance business may work on transactions that provide exposure to various client industries and investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings and leveraged buyouts. Job Description
The open position is for an associate based in Houlihan Lokey’s San Francisco office who will be dedicated to the Financial Advisory Services business’s growing Transaction & Valuation Reporting Services practice with responsibilities split between Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) and Tax & Financial Reporting (TFR).
The TAS practice provides financial and accounting due diligence for private equity funds and strategic buyers, tailored to the individual transaction with a focus on the value drivers of a business, deal issues, quality of earnings and cash flows. The TFR valuation practice assists clients across a wide range of industries with pre- and post-merger/acquisition purchase price allocation analyses, goodwill impairment issues, equity and intangible asset valuations required for major international corporate restructurings, stock option valuations, and a variety of other valuation needs related to tax planning and/or financial reporting.
The TAS/TFR-dedicated associate in our Financial Advisory Services business will be a fully integrated member of engagement teams, which could range in size from two to five members or more and be comprised of a combination of managing director, director, senior vice president, vice president, associate and financial analyst. As an associate, your primary activities will include presenting analyses and conclusions internally to review committees and externally to the principals, senior management, auditors, and tax advisors of clients; designing and drafting client deliverables; constructing and reviewing valuation and other financial models; performing financial statement, industry and other quantitative and qualitative assessments; attending due diligence meetings; communicating with client personnel; assisting with sales and marketing initiatives; and directing the efforts of financial analysts.
Qualifications

The Healthcare Group is seeking to complement its Chicago and Dallas teams with a qualified, motivated associate or a newly promoted vice president. The new hire will work with all members of the Healthcare team, although he/she will primarily interface with the recently hired Head of Medical Technologies (Biopharma, Med-Tech, Life Sciences and Diagnostics), who is an experienced managing director based out of San Francisco. Deals are roughly 60% M&A, 30% private placements and financing, and 10% restructuring. Associates and vice presidents are expected to be interested in an intensive learning experience in middle-market M&A, and to be ready to work long hours in return. Associates and vice presidents are members of deal teams comprising a managing director, vice president, associate and analyst.

As a financial analyst in Financial Advisory Services in San Francisco, you will have an opportunity to work primarily on Hong Kong and China engagements.
