Senior Vice President

Mr. Chen is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Finance business. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, he worked at BDA Partners, where he focused on M&A transactions in the industrials and agriculture sectors. Mr. Chen is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Mr. Chen’s recent M&A transactions include EnTouch’s sale to RCN; Aircrete Europe’s sale to Zhejiang Dingyuan Co., Ltd.; Motus Integrated Technologies’ sale of its automotive sun visor business and assets to Shanghai Daimay Automotive Interior Co., Ltd. (SHSE:603730); Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (SHSE:601717) and China Renaissance Capital Investment’s acquisition of Robert Bosch Starter Motors Generators Holding GmbH; Yinyi Group’s acquisition of ARC Automotive; Magna International Inc.’s acquisition of Chongqing Xingqiaorui Automotive; Sun Capital Partners Inc.’s sale of Performance Fibers’ Asian operations to Indorama Ventures; and Ningbo Tech-Bank’s acquisition of AgFeed Industries Inc.’s China business.

Mr. Chen’s experience also includes acting as the financial advisor and providing fairness opinions to the special committees in the going-private transactions of Wanda Sports Group Co. Ltd. (NASDAQGS:WSG); Fuling Global Inc. (NASDAQCM:FORK); Jumei International Holding Ltd. (NYSE:JMEI); Synutra International Inc.; JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:JASO); Migao Corp. (TSX:MGO); Mecox Lane Ltd. (NASDAQ:MCOX); and China Nepstar Chain Drugstore Ltd. (NYSE:NPD).

Mr. Chen received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Economics from Fudan University.
