Brian McDonald

Managing Director

Mr. McDonald joined Houlihan Lokey in 2002 and is a founding member of the firm’s Business Services Group. During his more than two-decade career in investment banking, Mr. McDonald has provided M&A advice to publicly traded and privately held companies in almost all major sectors of the economy. He is based in Houlihan Lokey's New York office.

Mr. McDonald’s recent business services transaction experience includes advising CDI Corp. (NYSE:CDI) in its sale to AE Industrial Partners; Angelica Corp. in its sale to KKR; Randall-Reilly in its sale to Aurora Capital Group; American Utility Management in its sale to RealPage, Inc.; Kroll Ontrack in its sale to LDiscovery; CAPS Payroll in its sale to Cast & Crew; System One in its sale to Thomas H. Lee Partners; Merit Service Solutions in its sale to Eureka Growth Capital; Hoffman Southwest Corp. in its sale to ORIX Capital Partners; AVI-SPL in its sale to H.I.G. Capital; Intelius in its sale to H.I.G. Capital; Source4Teachers in its sale to Nautic Partners; Merrill Corp. in the sale of its Legal Solutions business to DTI; Harland Clarke Holdings Corp. in the sale of its Faneuil business unit to ALJ Regional Holdings, Inc.; HHA Services in its sale to ABM Industries; and PC Helps in its sale to Baird Capital Partners.

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. McDonald was a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. 

Mr. McDonald received an A.B. magna cum laude from Georgetown University, an M.A. with distinction from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from INSEAD.
