Daniel Villarreal

Senior Vice President

Mr. Villarreal is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services practice. He focuses on providing due diligence and advisory services to both private equity and corporate clients in the energy, industrials, and infrastructure sectors. He is based in the firm’s Houston office.

Mr. Villarreal has worked on numerous domestic and cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-out transactions. His transaction due diligence experience spans a variety of deal sizes ranging from $50 million to $3 billion in enterprise value. He covers a wide range of M&A issues, including quality of earnings, net working capital, strategic value drivers, and purchase agreement support.

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Villarreal was a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Transaction Services practice. While at PwC, he spent two years in Sydney, Australia, as part of an international mobility initiative aimed at promoting overseas experience in staff. The remainder of his tenure was spent in PwC’s Houston and Washington, D.C., practices.

Mr. Villarreal holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma. He is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant.
