Mr. Topp is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group. He has nearly two decades of experience advising company and creditor clients in financial restructuring, capital raising, M&A, structured finance, and corporate strategy. Mr. Topp is based in the firm’s Sydney office.
Mr. Topp’s notable financial restructuring engagements include Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal, Bis Industries, BrisConnections, Pacific Brands, Network Ten Pty Ltd., and Reliance Rail.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Topp led a team of strategists and corporate finance professionals who developed, assessed, and implemented strategic initiatives, business restructurings and integrations, acquisitions, investments, and partnerships for Macquarie Group’s Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Group. He has also advised clients on corporate restructures, public and private capital raising, private treaty and public market M&A, and public-private partnerships across all industries with Fort Street Advisers and UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Topp has experience executing infrastructure, leveraged, and event-driven structured finance transactions across global debt markets and developing and managing foreign exchange and cash strategies and exposures.
Mr. Topp holds a B.S. in Financial Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Sydney.
