Jerry Eumont


Mr. Eumont is Director of Geosciences in the Acquisitions & Divestitures (A&D) practice within Houlihan Lokey’s Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Group. Mr. Eumont’s business experience covers all aspects of upstream oil & gas, and he is a subject matter expert on unconventional resources. He is based in the firm’s Houston office.


Mr. Eumont joined Houlihan Lokey in 2016 with 28 years of experience in upstream oil & gas and technical expertise in prospect generation, field development, wireline logging, asset evaluation, and project consulting. He has held a variety of positions in exploration, exploitation, operations, planning, and finance.


Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Eumont was a Managing Director with IHS. He advised clients on numerous upstream acquisitions in plays ranging from the Barnett to the Duvernay and completed fairness evaluations for specific unconventional assets. While at IHS, he also managed consulting projects that provided development scenarios for domestic and international unconventional assets to determine their impact on national economics and employment. Prior to IHS, Mr. Eumont formed his own independent E&P company, generating prospects in South Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Eumont started his career with Texaco in New Orleans, where he worked with increasing responsibility in all phases of the upstream oil & gas business.


Mr. Eumont has prepared expert reports for legal proceedings, and is a regular speaker at industry conferences and events. He is a CFA charterholder.
