Mr.
Davis is a Vice President focusing on emerging market transactions, including a particular focus on
the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa regions. Throughout his career, Mr. Davis has executed
a
range of transactions, including M&A,
debt and equity financings, and restructurings. His notable
transactions while at Houlihan Lokey include Seafox
and Edcon. He is based in the firm's Dubai office.
Prior
to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Davis worked
with Barclays Capital’s Natural Resource Group executing M&A and capital
market transactions, including Targa Resources Partners,
Noble Energy, Mammoth Energy, Resolute Energy, and Newfield Exploration. Before
Barclays, Mr. Davis was a Principal with Crescimento
Inteligente,
a private equity firm based in Mozambique focused on investments in the southeast
region of Africa. Prior to this, he worked with SGI Frontier (now Cerberus
Capital), where he managed several PE transactions, including National Cement
and Southwest Energy.
Earlier,
Mr. Davis worked with the African Development Bank in
the Office
of
U.S. Executive
Director to
Board
of
Directors and with the Private Infrastructure
Finance
Group.
He also served as an advisor to Kukula
Capital, a Zambian venture finance and PE firm, on
the initial transactions in its inaugural Kukula
Fund I. Previously, Mr. Davis was Associate/Counsel with SPE Capital (Swicorp),
a PE
firm focused on the MENA Region, where he focused on deals across a broad group
of sectors, including consumer goods, real estate, and telecom. He has also
held positions with Bear Stearns & Co.
and Skadden,
Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Mr.
Davis holds a dual B.A., with high distinction, in Foreign Affairs
and Political and Social Thought Interdisciplinary (distinguished major)
as well
as a
J.D. with
concentrations in Tax Law and Commercial Law (including
Bankruptcy) from
the University of Virginia. He also holds an MBA with
concentrations in Finance, Operations, and Entreprenership from the University
of Chicago Booth School of Business.
