Kushal Kapadia


Mr. Kapadia is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s investment banking practice in the western U.S. He has more than 20 years of experience advising primarily middle-market entrepreneurs in achieving their strategic business objectives through M&A and debt and equity private placements. As a seasoned deal maker, he drives superior outcomes by leveraging his extensive transaction experience, creative deal structuring, and understanding of the transaction process. These outcomes have aided in the development of a strong track record, client list, and network for whom he delivers valuable insight and connectivity. Mr. Kapadia is based in the Los Angeles office and maintains a tight network of leading intermediaries, banks, alternative capital providers, and companies across the Southwest.

Mr. Kapadia has been involved in over $6 billion of financing and M&A transactions in industries including healthcare services, business services, financial services, aerospace/defense, telecom, entertainment, technology, and consumer products. His advisory client list includes sector leaders such as Valley Anesthesiology and Pain Consultants, AMPAM Parks Mechanical, Comcar Industries, Quick Bridge Funding, Urban Lending Solutions, Columbia Forest Products, and the New York Football Giants.

While at Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Kapadia also spent two years as an expat in Mumbai and Singapore, where he led the firm’s South Asia strategy and initiated numerous cross-border M&A and high-profile restructuring assignments. In addition to being a speaker on topics related to M&A and capital markets, and quoted in several publications, he is also co-founder of South Asian Deal Makers of Los Angeles.

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Kapadia executed private placement transactions in the investment banking division of First Union Capital Markets Corp. (now Wells Fargo Securities). Prior to that, he structured and underwrote senior credit facilities as part of First Union’s corporate banking group.

Mr. Kapadia earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
