Ms. Gao is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group. Her responsibilities focus on complex strategic advisory and restructuring-related engagements, advising both companies and creditors. Ms. Gao is based in the firm’s Sydney office.

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, she worked for Fort Street Advisers, a Sydney-based independent corporate advisory firm.

Ms. Gao has advised on a wide range of engagements across corporate and government M&A, strategic reviews, capital raisings, and complex refinancings and restructurings in a range of sectors. Her select transaction experience prior to joining Houlihan Lokey includes advising on the $3.5 billion restructure of Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal; the $2 billion refinance and recapitalisation of Reliance Rail; BBRC’s $500 million sale of Bras N Things to HanesBrands; and Navis Capital’s $300 million sale of Retail Apparel Group to The Foschini Group.

Ms. Gao holds a B.Com. in Finance with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Economics, both from the University of New South Wales. She has completed Levels I, II, and III of the CFA Program.
