Mr.
Amaro
is a
Director of Engineering in Houlihan
Lokey’s Oil & Gas Group. He supports the firm’s investment
banking activities in the sector, with responsibility for managing the execution
of the group’s technical team. He is based in the firm’s Houston office.
Mr.
Amaro
joined
Houlihan Lokey in 2019
with
more than 14 years
of oil
and gas experience, including roles with large independents, third-party
reserves auditors, a boutique A&D group, and a private-equity-backed
portfolio company.
Most
recently, Mr. Amaro
was Vice President of Development at Ursa
Resources, a Denham Capital-backed portfolio company focused in the Rocky
Mountains.
Mr.
Amaro began his A&D technical advisory career at
CIBC Griffis
& Small, where
he was
a lead technical evaluator and execution engineer for divestment processes in
multiple domestic deals.
Prior
to joining CIBC Griffis
& Small, Mr.
Amaro was
a Sr. Petroleum Engineer with Ryder Scott Petroleum Consultants, where he
performed evaluation,
consulting,
and
reservoir engineering work domestically in the lower 48 states, including offshore Gulf
of Mexico, as
well as
in Latin America
(Mexico, Ecuador, Peru,
and Colombia),
the MENA region (Abu Dhabi
and Libya),
and West Africa (offshore Ghana).
Mr.
Amaro began his career with Noble Energy performing roles in reservoir, drilling,
and
reserves engineering.
