Mark Johnson

Managing Director

Mr. Johnson is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group and Head of the firm’s Oilfield Services & Equipment practice. During his career as an investment banker, he has advised many leading public and private companies and financial sponsor clients on a variety of transactions, including strategic acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, corporate divestitures and recapitalizations, exclusive sale mandates, and going/take privates. In addition, he has advised on numerous capital markets transactions, including high-yield and traditional debt, equity and equity-linked financings, strategic alternative advisory engagements, and fairness opinions. Over the course of his tenure at the firm, his transaction experience includes a wide range of domestic and cross-border engagements across the energy spectrum, including oilfield services and related equipment manufacturers, exploration & production, midstream, downstream, and power. Mr. Johnson is based in the firm’s Dallas office.

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Johnson was an Associate in Jefferies & Co.’s Leveraged Finance Group, where he advised companies on structuring and raising debt capital for acquisitions, bridge financings, growth financings, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. Before that, he was a member of the investment banking division at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Mr. Johnson holds a B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and an MBA in Corporate Finance from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University.
