Richard Saltzman

Senior Vice President

Mr. Saltzman is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Illiquid Financial Assets practice, having previously served as a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Mr. Saltzman has worked on a wide variety of engagements across multiple asset classes, including M&A transactions, fund recapitalizations, life settlements, minority equity, non-performing loans, and private equity and hedge fund LP interests. He is based in the firm’s New York office.

Mr. Saltzman’s notable transaction experience includes the sale of a significant stake and management of Octavian Advisors, LP with $526 million in AUM to TPG Special Situations Partners; Lone Star’s acquisition of a $153 million portfolio of direct loans and equity; Ardian’s acquisition of a portfolio of 47 co-investments and direct assets with $540 million in total exposure; the sale of Highland Capital Management’s $923 million life settlement portfolio to Apollo; and the sale of a $125 million portfolio of private equity fund interests held by Goldman Sachs.

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Saltzman worked for Traxi LLC, a boutique financial advisory and investment banking firm.

Mr. Saltzman received a B.A. in Managerial Economics from Union College.
