Mr. Chambers is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Institutions Group. His role covers structured products, capital relief trades, and distressed or otherwise illiquid assets. Mr. Chambers’ responsibilities include financial modelling and regulatory coverage, with a view to optimising bank and financial investor balance sheets from the asset side. He is based in the firm’s London office.

Mr. Chambers’ key recent asset-side focus has been on the shipping sector, with executed deals including a multibillion-euro shipping NPL portfolio for a German bank.

Mr. Chambers’ roles prior to joining Houlihan Lokey include trading floor analysis at HSBC with a focus on subordinated bank and insurance debt, as well as capital relief trades. Subsequent roles included a stint in HSBC’s DCM franchise structuring solutions for bank assets, with highlights including the largest post-crisis capital relief trade in Germany and an NPL restructuring fund for two of the major Greek banks. Mr. Chambers was also heavily involved in the recapitalisation of Bank of Cyprus, focussing on the company’s data systems and producing a simplified framework methodology for investors evaluating asset-side risk.

Mr. Chambers holds an MA in Physics from the University of Oxford.
