While no one expects investment banking to reach the record-breaking levels of activity
experienced in 2021, in Spain, the consensus is a bet on a recovery in 2024 after two years of drought. Juan Luis Muñoz, Co-Head of Corporate Finance Spain at Houlihan Lokey, explains, “There is a high volume of family-owned and private-equity-backed companies waiting for a normalization of the macroeconomic context to enter the market.” He adds, “When this happens, a significant and rapid increase in transaction volume is expected.”
