Mark Martin, Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s global Business Services Group, recently joined a panel hosted by McDermott and EY at the 2023 J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, where he shared his perspectives on private equity interest within the pharma services subsector.
During the panel, Mr. Martin noted that these businesses “know how to communicate the efficacy and scientific differentiation of these drugs better than customers.” He also mentioned that once the businesses are “in there that early, unless there is a massive failure on the execution side, it is very rare that those get displaced.”
