We strive to be leaders in our communities through our actions, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our firm, social justice for all, and a wide range of charitable and other community-building activities.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Houlihan Lokey is committed to fostering a diverse culture that is inclusive of all individuals regardless of their backgrounds. We make this commitment not only because we believe it is good for our communities, but because we know that it makes us a stronger global organization, better able to serve our clients.

Led by our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Council, Houlihan Lokey’s DE&I program seeks to enhance and foster policies and procedures to promote career growth, provide enriching opportunities for a diverse workforce, cultivate a strong sense of community at the firm, and more. One of our hallmark programs, Houlihan Lokey Communities, creates opportunities for individuals to come together within their communities—or as allies—to learn, celebrate, and support colleagues in a particular diversity dimension. Our Communities include:

We are always focused on growing our diverse workforce through our recruitment efforts, internships, community outreach, and other special events. Our partnerships with organizations such as INROADS, Opportunity Network, Thrive, and SEO serve as examples of our commitment to creating opportunities for future generations regardless of background.

We also recognize that it is our responsibility not only to take action ourselves to create a more diverse organization, but also to inspire others to do the same. To this end, Houlihan Lokey is a signatory to the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ initiative, the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace and take action to promote equality in the corporate community.

Charitable Giving

Houlihan Lokey’s Charitable Giving Program was established to enhance the culture of charitable giving at all levels of the organization. We are dedicated to promoting the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the global communities in which we live and work. We support a broad range of charitable activities, and we dedicate our expertise and time to the advancement of the next generation of citizens through educational programs and personal and team volunteering. We encourage our employees to develop close community ties that make a positive impact. We also make financial contributions on behalf of our clients, assisting many local, national, and global charities.

Give a Day to Charity

Houlihan Lokey strives for community collaboration and partnership through its Give a Day to Charity program. We invite every employee to volunteer up to two working days each year with local charities that are important to them, and we further support their efforts through a financial contribution from the firm on their behalf. Employees are encouraged to combine their personal efforts by organizing team volunteering events for charities of their choice.

Environment

We are committed to promoting sustainable and safe communities for our employees, clients, and neighbors to help meet global and local environmental needs. To that end, we are dedicated to being environmentally responsible within each of our offices and within the communities in which we do business.

We approach conserving natural resources and finding alternative uses for recyclable materials with the same vigor we approach finding innovative solutions to help our clients grow their businesses. As such, our recycling program is implemented company-wide.

Houlihan Lokey promotes the responsible use of energy throughout its business by encouraging carpooling and the use of bike share programs, and it is proactive about protecting and preserving the natural environment through its support of various organizations.
