Houlihan Lokey Advises A&M Capital Europe

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Ayesa, a leading international provider of IT and engineering services and portfolio company of A&M Capital Europe (AMCE), has acquired Ibermática, a leading Spanish provider of IT services. The transaction was completed on 29 December 2022.

Headquartered in Spain, Ayesa is a leading international provider of IT and engineering services, with more than 6,300 employees in 20 countries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, operating two divisions. The IT Services division provides software implementation and maintenance services, digital transformation solutions, and business process outsourcing. The Engineering Services division provides infrastructure project management and design services primarily in the civil engineering market.

Founded in 1973, Ibermática offers a wide-ranging portfolio of IT solutions, covering the complete design, build, and run lifecycle across both applications and infrastructure, with deep technological capabilities in emerging verticals such as cloud, cybersecurity, and data analytics. Ibermática employs 4,750 professionals and serves public administration, enterprise, and small and medium-sized enterprise clients across a diversified range of end markets in 10 countries. Ibermática generated record sales of €272 million in 2021, which presents a highly complementary business profile to Ayesa regarding geographic footprint, end-market mix, client base, and service offering.

AMCE is a pan-European, middle-market private equity firm based in London, specialising in providing strategic and operational support to growing European businesses. AMCE Fund I currently has €650 million in assets under management, and Ibermática represents AMCE’s 11th transaction. More broadly, AMCE is part of A&M Capital, a multi-strategy private equity investment firm with more than €4.1 billion in assets under management across four investment strategies.
