Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Carey International (Carey or the company) has been acquired by The Najafi Companies. The transaction closed on September 27, 2024.

The company services more than 1,000 cities through a large network of over 50 owned, franchise, and partner locations. Carey’s offerings include corporate transient, travel agency, retail, shuttle, and meetings and events services to primarily Fortune 1000 companies and other corporate organizations.

The Najafi Companies, founded in 2002, is a private investment firm that makes investments in the media, consumer, sports, travel, and e-commerce sectors. The firm makes selective and concentrated investments using internally generated capital.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Carey International.
