Houlihan Lokey Advises The Colt Group

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that The Colt Group (Colt), a portfolio company of The Capstreet Group (Capstreet), has been acquired by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP). The transaction closed on August 28, 2026.

Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Pasadena, Texas, Colt provides mission-critical services that help customers keep critical assets on-line, minimize unplanned downtime, and extend asset life. The company’s capabilities include on-line leak repair, hot tapping, line stopping, line intervention, and field machining, supported by in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Colt serves a diversified base of blue-chip industrial, energy, utility, and municipal customers across the U.S.

Founded in 1990, Capstreet invests in lower-middle-market business service companies. With more than 50 platform investments and more than 200 add-on acquisitions since inception, Capstreet’s investment strategy is focused on utilizing its Capvalue Framework® to help accelerate growth and profitability and create long-term sustainable businesses. The majority of Capstreet’s investments have been with founder- or entrepreneur-owned businesses.

The Colt Group is the fifth platform investment of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners VII, L.P.
