Houlihan Lokey Advises STG and Gresham on the Acquisitions of S&P Global’s Enterprise Data Management and thinkFolio Businesses

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Gresham, a portfolio company of STG, has acquired S&P Global’s Enterprise Data Management (EDM) business. STG has also acquired thinkFolio, a London-based investment management platform, from S&P Global.

The EDM transaction represents a strategic carve-out from S&P Global and materially expands Gresham’s footprint in enterprise data management for the global financial services industry.

EDM is a market-trusted enterprise data management platform relied upon by a wide range of buyside and sellside institutional clients, including 30 of the top 60 global asset managers, and supporting more than $12 trillion in assets under management. The platform plays a critical role in some of the most complex and regulated data environments across global capital markets.

Following the close, EDM will continue to operate its current range of products within Gresham, maintaining its product roadmap, customer relationships, and delivery model. The EDM team moves with the business, maintaining continuity across customer relationships, service delivery, and product development. EDM has a strong roadmap in place and will continue to deliver product enhancements and updates, supported by increased focus, investment, and the benefits of the greater scale in enterprise data automation that Gresham brings.
