Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce the successful sale of a stake of Groupe Nutergia (Nutergia), a natural micronutrition product company, to 3i Group PLC (3i). The transaction closed on May 28, 2026.

Founded in 1989 by Dr. Claude Lagarde, Nutergia is the pioneer and a leading French provider of natural micronutrition products. Based in Capdenac, France, the company designs, produces, and markets a wide range of natural food supplements. Highly recommended by healthcare professionals and primarily distributed through pharmacies, the Nutergia brand is distinguished by its unique scientific approach to micronutrition, centered on the proprietary concept of Active Cellular Nutrition®. The company has demonstrated a decade of double-digit organic growth in France and its international subsidiaries, including Spain, Belgium, Portugal, and Poland.

3i is a leading international investment manager focused on private equity and infrastructure, with core investment markets in Europe and North America. This investment is a continuation of 3i’s successful track record of backing high-growth, natural-focused consumer brands. 3i’s partnership will support Nutergia’s next growth phase by accelerating its pharmacy network expansion, driving product innovation, enhancing its online presence, and facilitating international expansion, while continuing to invest in its eco-industrial laboratory.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to the Lagarde family, founders and owners of Nutergia. The Lagarde family will reinvest significantly alongside 3i and remain actively involved in the company’s development.
