Houlihan Lokey Advises Aircrete Europe

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Aircrete Europe Holding B.V. (Aircrete) has been acquired by Zhejiang Yuanzhu Housing Industrialization Co., Ltd. (Dingyuan), from the founding family and management. The transaction closed on 8 July 2019.

Since its founding in 2002, Aircrete has grown into one of the leading global developers and manufacturers of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) machinery and technology for the production of AAC panels and blocks. Over the past few years, Aircrete has witnessed strong growth on the back of favourable market trends in combination with a unique business model and go-to-market approach. Operating from the Netherlands, Aircrete has customers across more than 20 countries.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, China, Dingyuan is a leading provider of EPC construction services for municipal engineering projects, housing projects, and equipment and pipeline installation projects, with annual construction capability of 5 million m2. Dingyuan has established its presence in more than 10 provinces and cities in China, including Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shandong, and Tianjin. Dingyuan has the ability to undertake complex industrial, civil, and municipal construction projects, as well as large-scale, high-quality fine decoration and other complex projects.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Aircrete and assisted in initiating, structuring, and negotiating the transaction on its behalf. This transaction highlights Houlihan Lokey's cross-border (China-Europe) transaction capabilities and dedicated sector expertise within the building materials vertical.
