Houlihan Lokey Advises Castik Capital

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that funds advised by Castik Capital SaRL (Castik) have acquired ARTUS Beteiligungs GmbH (ARTUS), one of Germany’s leading property damage repair companies in the field of fire, water, and elementary damages. Castik signed a definitive purchase agreement in July 2022. The transaction closed on 20 December 2022.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Isernhagen and Leipzig, ARTUS is one of Germany’s leading damage repair companies in the field of fire, water, and elementary damage, as well as building drying and winter building heating. With currently more than 350 employees across 24 branches, ARTUS covers all steps of the value chain, offering extended services along the entire claim process, allowing it to be a one-stop shop. In 2021, ARTUS processed more than 10,000 claims in Germany and impressed its customers by consistently delivering market-leading quality enhanced by its short response time and high level of expertise across all of its services. The services offered range from initial measures and damage logging to cleaning, drying, and complete restoration.

Founded in 2014, Castik is a private equity firm focused on making investments in high-quality and growing businesses headquartered in Europe and led by strong management teams or founders. Investments are made by the Luxembourg-based fund, EPIC II, the second fund managed by Castik, which had its final fund close of €1.25 billion in October 2020.
