Houlihan Lokey Advises Ferrero
Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that a Ferrero-related company has acquired Fox’s Biscuits from Northern Food Grocery Group Ltd. (NFGG), part of 2 Sisters Food Group. The transaction was closed on 30 October 2020.
Based in the UK, Fox’s Biscuits is the maker of fine biscuit brands Fox’s and Rocky, among other much-loved, prestigious brands. The business has a history in the British biscuit market dating back to 1853, with a very strong heritage, brand awareness among consumers, and leading positions in every segment of the biscuit category. Fox’s Biscuits generated sales of approximately £157 million during the last 12 months.
As part of the transaction, the Ferrero-related company will take over two production facilities in Kirkham and Batley, England. Through this acquisition, it expects to increase its relevance in the rich and fine biscuits category, further to its previous acquisitions of Biscuits Delacre and Kelsen Group.
Houlihan Lokey acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the buyer. Following recent successes involving Give & Go, Voortman Bakery, Dolciaria Acquaviva, Tate’s Bake Shop, Diversi Food, Nonni’s, and Burton’s Biscuit Co., this transaction reinforces Houlihan Lokey’s leading global franchise in the bakery/biscuits industry.
