Houlihan Lokey Advises Interflora Sweden
Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Interflora Sweden has been acquired by Myflower, a leading European floristry business and portfolio company of PAI Partners. The transaction closed on 31 May 2023.
Founded in 1923 and based in Stockholm, Interflora Sweden is a part of the global Fleurop-Interflora network and is one of the nation’s leading digital floristry and gift businesses. Operating through a unique omnichannel distribution model combining a centralised e-commerce platform with a network of approximately 550 independent floristry stores.
Myflower is a holding company operating the Interflora brand across multiple European markets, including France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Luxembourg, and Romania. The acquisition is in line with Myflower’s strategy of consolidating the Interflora brand in Europe. The new combined group delivered 4.2 million bouquets and gifts in 2022, thanks to a network of more than 7,500 premium florists.
This acquisition will allow MyFlower to further accelerate investments in its technology platform, which connects customers and florists, and will further strengthen its leadership in each market in Europe.
PAI Partners is a pre-eminent private equity firm, investing in market-leading companies across the globe. PAI Mid-Market Fund, PAI’s first vehicle fully dedicated to investing in middle-market companies across Europe, draws on PAI’s core investment DNA and capabilities, leveraging the firm’s European expertise, its local market presence, and its specialist sector knowledge to create an extension of the firm’s platform across the middle-market.
Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Interflora Sweden and its shareholders. The deal builds upon the firm’s long track record throughout the e-commerce and broader consumer sector, reinforcing the firm’s global leadership throughout the space.
