Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Körber AG (Körber) has completed the sale of LTI Motion GmbH (LTI Motion) and Heinz Fiege GmbH (Heinz Fiege) to KEBA AG (KEBA). The transaction closed on December 20, 2018.
Körber is a technology group with international operations and approximately 10,000 employees around the world. The group unites leading technology companies with 140 production, service, and sales companies. At locations worldwide, Körber combines the advantages of a globally represented organisation with the strengths of highly specialised and flexible medium-size enterprises. Körber offers its customers solutions, products, and services in business areas including logistics systems, pharma systems, tissue, tobacco, and digital. LTI Motion and Heinz Fiege are technically leading suppliers of drive solutions and spindle technology based in Lahnau and Röllbach, Germany. Founded in 1971 as Lust Electronic-Systeme GmbH, LTI Motion has been part of Körber since 2013. With several locations in Europe and one location in China, LTI Motion is among the few specialised suppliers of drive solutions for customers in demanding mechanical engineering industries. Heinz Fiege specialises in application-oriented spindle technology.
KEBA and LTI Motion have been cooperating closely in the field of automation solutions for a number of years. KEBA is a specialist in control, safety, and operations in industrial environments while LTI Motion specialises in the area of servo drive technology. Bundling this expertise and the decades of experience and innovative strength of KEBA, LTI Motion and Heinz Fiege offers a unique market opportunity for both companies. Customers can now receive complete solutions from a single source — from operations, control and safety technology, to drive technology. Synergies will exist not only in technology and the modular product system but also in sales.
KEBA was founded in 1968 and is an internationally successful company located in Linz, Austria, with subsidiaries across the globe. KEBA develops and produces high-quality automation solutions for the industrial, banking and logistics sectors, as well as heating controls to increase energy efficiency.
