Houlihan Lokey Advises Kontron
Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Kontron AG (Kontron) has agreed to sell significant parts of its IT services business to VINCI Energies S.A. for approximately €400 million. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
With the brand S&T, Kontron’s IT services business is a leading powerhouse across the DACH and CEE regions. The company is covering the entire value chain, from consulting, software development, SAP consulting, and system integration to managed services, cybersecurity, and high-security operations, with more than 1,700 employees. The company’s numerous clients include both the public sector and well-known industrial companies. The revenue of the divested units corresponds to an outgoing revenue of €338 million with a profit of €41 million EBITDA in financial year 2021.
Through this divestment, Kontron is following its growth strategy to focus on the Internet of Things (IoT) business. Kontron is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and is one of the leading providers of smart solutions for a host of industries.
