Houlihan Lokey Advises Levine Leichtman Capital Partners
Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), a global private equity firm, has invested in Global Loan Agency Services (GLAS), in partnership with its founders and management team. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
LLCP is a middle-market private equity firm with a 38-year track record of investing across various targeted sectors, including franchising, business services, education, and engineered products. Since its inception, LLCP has managed approximately $12.9 billion of institutional capital across 15 investment funds and has invested in over 100 portfolio companies. LLCP utilises a differentiated structured private equity investment strategy, combining debt and equity capital investments in portfolio companies. LLCP’s global team of dedicated investment professionals is led by nine partners who have worked at LLCP for an average of 18 years. The firm currently manages approximately $9.2 billion of assets—including its most recent European fund, Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Europe II SCSp, which closed in 2020 with €463 million of committed capital. LLCP has offices in Los Angeles, London, The Hague, Stockholm, Frankfurt, New York, Chicago, Charlotte, and Miami.
Founded in 2011, GLAS offers a broad range of administration, agency, and trustee services developed specifically for the credit markets, covering private credit, leveraged finance, capital markets, and bankruptcy. GLAS is recognised as the premier independent, noncreditor, conflict-free provider of loan agency and bond trustee services, with a portfolio of over $130 billion of assets that it services across its global platform. Headquartered in London, GLAS has more than 180 employees across offices in France, Germany, Australia, and the United States.
GLAS will be the sixth investment of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Europe II SCSp, and the company will continue to be led by founders Mia Drennan and Brian Carne as well as the existing management team.
Houlihan Lokey acted as the buyside advisor to LLCP on this transaction, which is the latest addition to its strong business services practice.
