Houlihan Lokey Advises MidEuropa Partners

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that MidEuropa Partners (MidEuropa) has acquired a majority stake in Optegra Eye Health Care (Optegra or the company) a leading European ophthalmology platform operating in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the UK. The transaction closed on 22 February 2023.

Founded in 2007, Optegra offers a wide range of procedures including cataract, AMD, and vision correction for both public and private patients. The Company operates 29 highly integrated state-of-the-art facilities and performs more than 100,000 surgical procedures per year with a focus on industry-leading clinical outcomes and outstanding patient experience.

Founded in 1999, MidEuropa is a leading independent private equity firm focused on the growth markets of Central and Eastern Europe. Operating from London, Warsaw, and Bucharest, MidEuropa has raised and managed funds of approximately €6 billion. MidEuropa has a pan-regional approach, acquiring market-leading companies mainly in growth industries, and has completed 44 investments across 18 countries in the region.
