Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that NORD Holding has sold BOCK to Danfoss. The transaction closed on March 1, 2023.

Founded in 1932, BOCK has developed into a leading manufacturer of technologically sophisticated piston compressors for cooling and refrigeration technology. The market segments addressed are primarily cooling and refrigeration technology for mobile applications in bus, rail, and transport (reefer trucks and trailers). The areas of retail (supermarkets) and food processing as the most important stationary applications complete BOCK’s product range. By focusing on compressors for natural refrigerants, such as CO2, BOCK contributes to climate-friendly transformation in refrigeration and air conditioning technology. International customers are supported in more than 10 sales locations worldwide. The company employs approximately 400 people around the world and has production sites in Germany, the Czech Republic, India, and China.

Founded in 1933 and based in Demark, Danfoss is a family-owned company that engineers solutions that increase machine productivity, reduce emissions, lower energy consumption, and enable electrification. These solutions are used in areas such as refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, power conversion, motor control, industrial machinery, automotive, marine, and off- and on-highway equipment. Furthermore, Danfoss provides solutions for renewable energy, such as solar and wind power, as well as district energy infrastructure for cities. It employs more than 40,000 people, serving customers in over 100 countries through a global footprint of 95 factories.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of BOCK. The team assisted in structuring and negotiating all aspects of the transaction on its behalf. This deal represents another successful transaction for Houlihan Lokey in the industrial technology space.
