Houlihan Lokey Advises O'Brien and Gere

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that O'Brien and Gere Ltd. (OBG) has been acquired by Ramboll Group A/S (Ramboll). The transaction closed on January 1, 2019.

O'Brien and Gere is a premier provider of integrated engineering solutions within water, energy, environment, and advanced manufacturing. The company is a recognized leader in design-build and engineering services and has extensive client relationships in both the private and public sector. OBG's 900 experts contribute unique solutions to high profile, complex projects across the United States. OBG was founded in 1945 and is headquartered in Syracuse, New York.

Ramboll Group is an international provider of engineering, design, and consultancy services. Headquartered in Denmark, Ramboll employs more than 15,000 experts globally, with primary operations in the Nordics, United Kingdom, North America, Continental Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. The company has 300 offices across 35 countries and works across buildings, transport, planning and urban design, water, environment and health, and energy and management consulting. Ramboll's acquisition of OBG serves to double the size of its presence in the United States. At the time of the acquisition, the combined revenue of Ramboll and OBG was DKK 12.7 billion (US$2 billion).
