Houlihan Lokey Advises Sucsez Groep

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that it has advised Sucsez Groep B.V., a leading Dutch insurance distribution platform, on its sale to Five Arrows Principal Investments (FAPI). The transaction closed on 17 September 2019.

Sucsez Groep is a leading insurance distribution platform operating across the value chain in attractive segments of the Dutch insurance market. The company provides advice and market access to their client base, which include SMEs and corporates, collectives and consumers across income protection, P&C, and health insurance.

The group was formed when Capital A acquired Sucsez in 2016 to pursue an ambitious growth strategy—both organically and through acquisitions. As a result, the turnover of the Sucsez Groep grew from €9 million in 2016 to more than €60 million today. The company is headquartered in Doetinchem, Netherlands, and has offices in 12 locations across the country, employing 500 staff members.

Sucsez Groep is being acquired by FAPI alongside its management team led by Marco Gregoor, Chief Executive Officer, and Frank Germans, Chief Commercial Officer, who remain material shareholders in the business. FAPI is the investment arm of Rothschild & Co. It has a leading track record across its targeted sectors of healthcare, data and software, and technology-enabled business services.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Sucsez Groep and assisted in initiating, marketing, structuring, and negotiating the transaction on behalf of shareholders. This transaction highlights Houlihan Lokey's long-standing reputation as a premier advisor within the insurance industry across the value chain and extends its sector leadership within the Dutch market.
