Houlihan Lokey Advises Sunrise Oil & Gas

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to have served as the exclusive financial advisor to Sunrise Oil & Gas (Sunrise) on the sale of substantially all of its oil and gas assets to affiliates of Contango Oil & Gas, a subsidiary of Crescent Energy Company. The transaction closed on December 1, 2021.

Sunrise was a privately owned E&P company with assets in the Central Basin Platform in West Texas and the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. The company focused on the exploitation and production of shallow-decline, oil-weighted reserves. At the time of the sale, Sunrise was producing nearly 9,000 boe/d (net).

Houlihan Lokey advised Sunrise on all aspects of the marketing, structuring, negotiating, technical analysis, and closing of the sale.
