Houlihan Lokey Advises Vehicle Administrative Services

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Vehicle Administrative Services, LP, SafeRide Motor Club, Inc., and related affiliates (collectively, VAS) has been acquired by Brown & Brown, Inc. (BRO). The transaction closed on October 9, 2020.

Founded in 1983, VAS is a premier provider of emergency roadside assistance and related consumer auto protection products. Since 1998, VAS has created and refined a suite of essential protection products to complement its core offering of emergency roadside assistance with a focus on enhancing products offered by VAS customers. The VAS team will continue to operate from VAS headquarters in Addison, Texas.

Headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, BRO is the sixth largest independent insurance brokerage in the nation. It provides risk management solutions to help protect what customers value most. Its four business segments, retail, national programs, wholesale, and services, offer insurance products and services to businesses, corporations, governmental institutions, professional organizations, trade associations, families, and individuals.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to VAS and assisted in structuring and negotiating the transaction. The transaction highlights Houlihan Lokey’s continued position as the leading advisor to the automobile warranty industry.
