Houlihan Lokey Advises White Bridge Investments

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Lampa S.r.l. (Lampa), a portfolio company of White Bridge Investments, has acquired OBI Group. Luca Boncompagni, CEO of OBI Group, will reinvest a portion of the proceeds into Lampa and continue to contribute to its expansion at national and international levels alongside previous shareholders.

Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Florence, OBI Group is a leading player in the design, engineering, and production of metal accessories for major luxury brands.

OBI Group comprises three legal entities, OBI, IAB, and SCAF, and operates through its integrated technologies and know-how in processing different raw materials, such as brass, Zamak, and silver.

Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Grumello del Monte (Bergamo, Lombardy), Lampa is a leading plasticware manufacturer with a wide product portfolio serving mainly high-end luxury brands. Specifically, the company produces accessories made of plastic, resin, and nylon. Lampa’s product portfolio includes studs, buttons, logos, buckles, bijoux, and brooches.

Lampa has been majority-owned since 2021 by White Bridge Investments through its vehicle White Bridge Investments II, an investment holding specialised in private equity transactions.

With the acquisition of OBI Group, and under the guidance of White Bridge Investments, Lampa takes a decisive step towards the creation of an Italian leader in the luxury accessories space through the aggregation of high-level suppliers of excellence for fashion and luxury brands.

Houlihan Lokey had an introductory role to Lampa in the context of the potential acquisition of OBI and supported White Bridge Investments throughout the entire buyside process, from the negotiation of the transaction to legal documentation.

The deal reinforces Houlihan Lokey’s strength in the B2B luxury space and highlights the benefits of deep, local relationships coupled with industry expertise. All these factors provided for achieving superior outcomes for the client.
