Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Huntsman Gomet S.r.l. (Gomet), a subsidiary of Huntsman Corporation (Huntsman), has been acquired by Trelleborg Group (Trelleborg). The transaction closed on 5 June 2026.
Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Huntsman and assisted in initiating, structuring, and negotiating the transaction on its behalf. This transaction demonstrates Houlihan Lokey’s continued excellence and expertise within the specialty chemicals and automotive aftermarket sectors, in addition to the broader automotive space.
Founded in 1975 and based in Azeglio, Italy, Gomet is a leading manufacturer of molded rubber and thermoplastic automotive aftermarket components. Acquired by Huntsman in 2014 as part of its acquisition of Rockwood Holdings’ pigments business, Gomet has operated within Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division, providing highly specialised replacement parts that serve the global automotive aftermarket. The company offers an extensive product portfolio, including CV-joint boots, steering gaiters, and shock absorber service kits. Gomet maintains a strong reputation for producing reliable, high-quality automotive components for a diverse customer base.
