Houlihan Lokey Advises IBS Capital Allies

Transaction: IBS Capital Management - BlackFin Capital Partners

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that IBS Capital Allies (IBS) has agreed to be acquired by BlackFin Capital Partners (BlackFin) following a sale process. The transaction was announced on 22 August 2024 and is subject to DNB and AFM regulatory approval.

IBS is the leading independent wealth manager in the Netherlands, managing approximately €5 billion of client assets with a product and service proposition carefully tailored to clients’ needs. The company’s strong reputation for putting clients’ interests first and investing in its culture has made it a magnet for existing employees and new talent.

With BlackFin’s support as its future shareholder, IBS will focus on increasing its assets under management and existing range of products and services, as well as on continuously developing relationship management teams. These efforts will further strengthen the company’s ability to provide exceptional service and personalised wealth management solutions.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to IBS and handled key commercial elements of marketing, structuring, and negotiating the transaction in addition to performing a comprehensive lender education programme for debt financing that ran parallel to the sale process. This transaction further strengthens Houlihan Lokey’s position as a trusted advisor in the Netherlands and its leadership in the European and U.K. wealth management sectors. It adds to a host of announced transactions, including Perspective Financial Group, Cinerius Financial Partners, Säkra, Saltus, Solomon, Ascot Lloyd, Cardale Asset Management, Wren Sterling, and Formuesforvaltning.
