Houlihan Lokey Advises LEA Partners

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Midoco a leading software provider for the travel industry, and a portfolio company of LEA Partners, has been acquired by VR Equitypartner. The transaction closed on November 10, 2023.

Founded in 2005, The Midoco Group is the leading provider of mid-office and profile management software for the travel industry in DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), and other international markets. Their cloud-based software solutions automate the sales process for leisure and business travel. Midoco Group's clients include online travel agencies, international travel agency chains, business travel agencies, and tour operators. Over 25,000 users work with Midoco software on a daily basis, processing over seven million flight tickets and a travel volume of more than 13 billion euros annually.

In 2018, Midoco acquired the competitor Umbrella AG. The Swiss company specializes in synchronizing customer profiles of business travelers between different booking systems with its leading software "Umbrella Faces" and has become a market leader in various markets, including the USA.

Houlihan Lokey acted as the exclusive financial advisor to LEA on the sale of Midoco.
