Leonardo & Co., in association with Houlihan Lokey, is pleased to announce that Eden Travel Group S.r.l. has been acquired by Alpitour S.p.A.

Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Pesaro, Italy, Eden is a leading player in the Italian travel industry and is No. 2 in the field of tour operating after Alpitour, leveraging on (i) one of the broadest distribution networks in Italy and (ii) a well-established partnership with the major network agencies in Italy.

Eden's brand portfolio includes

• Eden Viaggi, providing a wide range of travel solutions, from Eden Village, which offers all-inclusive holidays at vacation villages in Italy and many other exotic locations, to alternative holiday ideas by Eden Margò and sartorial travel experiences crafted by Eden Made;

• Hotelplan, a premium/luxury travel brand offering tailor-made holidays at exclusive resorts around the world; and

• Turisanda, offering all-inclusive holidays at premium international resorts in the world.

Alpitour, a Tamburi Investment Partners portfolio company, is by far the leading player in Italian tourism thanks to its strong presence in different segments (tour operating online and offline, aviation, hotel management, travel agencies, and incoming). In 2017, Alpitour generated consolidated revenues of more than €1.2 billion, with an EBITDA of approximately €46 million.

This transaction fits perfectly with the prospects of accelerating Alpitour growth, both expanding the offering for the Italian market and developing the incoming sector.
