Houlihan Lokey Advises Nexon Asia Pacific

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Nexon Asia Pacific (Nexon), a portfolio company of global investment organization EQT, has agreed to be acquired by Adamantem Capital (AdCap).

Houlihan Lokey leveraged its local Australian presence, relationship with EQT, deep IT services sector expertise, and global connectivity to facilitate the sale of Nexon, a leading Australian digital and IT services provider. This transaction reinforces Houlihan Lokey’s leadership in the IT services sector and proven track record in executing collaborative cross-border sponsor sellsides.

Founded in 2000, Nexon is an award-winning digital and IT services provider headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Nexon solves its clients’ complex requirements by delivering leading end-to-end services for the middle market and specialized best-of-breed services for the enterprise market.

Since acquiring Nexon in July 2019, EQT has supported a comprehensive transformation of the business. During this time, Nexon successfully executed a complementary organic and acquisition-assisted growth strategy and has expanded to a workforce of more than 600 employees serving over 1,000 middle-market and enterprise customers in Australia. Under EQT’s stewardship, Nexon’s platform was fully integrated and is now set to drive scalable growth and continued success in its next chapter.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Nexon and assisted in initiating, structuring, and negotiating all aspects of the transaction on its behalf. The transaction demonstrates the strong cross-border collaboration between the Australia and U.S. offices on IT services transactions.

Completion is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to occur in Q4 2025. AdCap, an Australian-based investment manager, is strategically positioned to support Nexon’s next phase of growth.
