Founded in 1998 and based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, Northwest Investment Counselors supports clients through every stage of life, from initial investing and navigating finances after major life changes to retirement and estate planning. Specializing in investment management, trust services, and financial planning, Northwest Investment Counselors primarily serves clients based in Oregon and Washington and oversees nearly $700 million in client assets.

Based in Plymouth, Minnesota, Wealth Enhancement is a national independent wealth firm that provides tailored financial plans and investment management services to clients from its 141 offices nationwide. With the addition of Northwest Investment Counselors, Wealth Enhancement surpasses more than $102.8 billion in client, advisory, trust, and brokerage assets.

Houlihan Lokey advised on 27 deals in the wealth management industry in 2024. The acquisition of Northwest Investment Counselors is representative of the heightened interest in the Pacific Northwest by wealth management platforms, as it remains a rather underpenetrated geographic market within the sector.
