Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Quadrante, a leading Iberian-based consulting firm specialising in engineering, architecture, environment and sustainability, has agreed to receive a majority strategic investment from Permira Advisers (Permira). Quadrante’s management and founders, alongside existing shareholder Henko Partners (Henko), will remain significant investors in the company. This transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Quadrante provides asset-light, white-collar engineering services across three core segments: energy (including renewables development, transmission, and distribution), sustainable cities (spanning data centres, water utilities, and waste infrastructure), and mobility (covering railways, subways, airports, and ports). Founded in 1998, the company operates across more than 20 countries—including established positions in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Mexico—and employs over 1,500 professionals globally.

Under Henko, an independent private equity firm focused on the lower-middle market across the Iberian Peninsula, Quadrante has grown into one of the region’s leading engineering and infrastructure platforms, expanding its service offering and international footprint.

With Permira’s backing, Quadrante aims to accelerate its international expansion—including further growth in the U.S.—and advance its ambition to become a globally diversified engineering partner focused on the energy transition and critical infrastructure.

Permira is a global investment firm that backs successful businesses with growth ambitions. Founded in 1985, the firm advises funds across private equity and credit with total committed capital of approximately €90 billion, and employs more than 500 people across 15 offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Quadrante, its management team, and Henko Partners in a deal that exemplifies our continued strength within the engineering and infrastructure services sector.
