Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that SlimFast U.K. (SlimFast), a portfolio brand of Glanbia, has been acquired by Supreme PLC. The transaction was closed on 20 October 2025. This marks the second and final element of the SlimFast brand disposal following the sale of the U.S. segment to Heartland Foods Group on 16 September.
SlimFast is a leading provider of weight management nutritional solutions with more than 45 years of heritage. The business offers a diverse range of meal replacement products and snacks, which, when used while following the SlimFast Plan, are clinically proven to support consumers’ weight management and healthy lifestyle goals. Products are available in multiple formats, including RTD, RTE, and Powders, and sold across all key channels—FDMC, online, and specialty.
Glanbia is an Ireland-headquartered multinational nutrition company that creates and distributes performance nutrition and lifestyle consumer brands and also provides nutritional ingredients to the global food and beverage industry. SlimFast has been owned by Glanbia since 2018. It was classified as a noncore asset in February 2025, and therefore, it was decided to divest the business.
Supreme is a leading manufacturer, supplier, and brand owner of fast-moving consumer goods, listed on the AIM exchange. Supreme supplies products across three divisions: Vaping, Drinks & Wellness, and Electricals & Household. Capabilities span from product development and manufacturing through to its extensive retail distribution network and direct-to-consumer capabilities. This vertically integrated platform provides an excellent route to market for well-known brands and products.
Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Glanbia. This transaction underscores Houlihan Lokey’s deep expertise working in the nutrition/better-for-you space, following the sale of Owyn to The Simply Good Foods Company, the sale of Volac to Arla, and the partnership between yfood and Nestlé.
