Houlihan Lokey Advises EOS-Backed Smart Building & Industrial Services Group With Investment in Swibox
Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Smart Building & Industrial Services GmbH (SBIS Group) has acquired 100% of the shares of Swibox Holding AG (Swibox), a leading Swiss one-stop-shop enclosure solutions provider from its current shareholders, the Swibox management team. Houlihan Lokey acted as the debt advisor to EOS and the SBIS Group.
Swibox is a leading Swiss provider of a wide range of standardised as well as highly customised industrial closures with an additional offering in stainless steel product manufacturing and specialised tunnel and fire protection solutions. Swibox differentiates from its competitors in the DACH region through its ability to deliver custom-tailored and innovative solutions within a shorter period of time, enabling the company to win and contribute to some of Switzerland’s most prestigious infrastructure projects, including the Gotthard and Ceneri base tunnels.
The SBIS Group targets an increasing shortage of production capacity in times of the ongoing energy transition by providing electrical cabinets and critical components. Its current nucleus, SRG & SERVE, is a highly innovative manufacturing company with a focus on engineering and switchgear systems production headquartered in Grevenmacher, Luxembourg. With the addition of Swibox, the SBIS Group develops into a vertically integrated market leader for electrical enclosures with full value chain coverage from the manufacturing of enclosures to the integration of switchgear systems, leveraging the existing footprint and outstanding reputation in both core markets in Germany and Switzerland.
EOS is a long-term-oriented private equity firm investing in middle-market companies in the DACH region. The aim is to take a multidisciplinary approach to accelerate growth and increase efficiency. EOS develops category leaders with high competitiveness by providing industry expertise, strategic know-how, access to a vast network, as well as flexible capital. EOS strives to establish best practices that strengthen its portfolio companies and last well beyond its investment period.
Houlihan Lokey provided debt advice on all commercial aspects of the financing transaction and secured a highly attractive, tailor-made, and flexible financing structure that will support the further growth of the SBIS Group.
