Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that StarRez has agreed to receive a strategic investment from Five Arrows, the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co, alongside existing investor Vista Equity Partners.

StarRez is a global leader in on- and off-campus student housing software, providing mission-critical solutions that enable more than 1,100 higher education institutions and 2,000 property managers worldwide to automate operations, centralize data insights, and enhance resident engagement. The platform has earned a reputation for reliability and ease of use and has been built in collaboration with a highly engaged customer community that has helped shape StarRez’s products for 30+ years.

The new investment supports StarRez’s continued expansion of its product platform, acceleration of innovation, and global growth initiatives. Since Vista Equity Partners’ initial investment, StarRez has expanded its capabilities across on- and off-campus housing, completed four strategic acquisitions, strengthened integrations, accelerated product development, and enhanced its global delivery footprint, including the establishment of an Innovation Hub in Hyderabad.

Vista Equity Partners first invested in StarRez in 2022 and will continue to support the company as it expands operations globally and builds on a multi-year record of innovation.

Five Arrows is a global private equity platform with a strong track record of partnering with high-quality software businesses to support long-term growth, international expansion, and operational excellence. The partnership further positions StarRez to scale globally and deepen relationships with universities and housing providers across key markets.

Houlihan Lokey served as financial advisor to StarRez and Vista Equity Partners. This transaction highlights the firm’s continued momentum in property technology and vertical software.
