Houlihan Lokey Advises The Vitamin Shoppe

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce the successful placement of a senior secured credit facility for The Vitamin Shoppe, LLC, a portfolio company of Kingswood Capital Management, L.P. (“Kingswood” or the “Sponsor”). Proceeds from the transaction were used to refinance existing indebtedness, support a shareholder distribution, and pay transaction-related fees and expenses. The transaction closed on March 23, 2026.

Founded in 1977 and based in Secaucus, New Jersey, The Vitamin Shoppe is a global, omnichannel specialty retailer and wellness lifestyle company. The Vitamin Shoppe offers a comprehensive assortment of nutritional solutions, including vitamins, minerals, sports nutrition, specialty supplements, herbs, homeopathic remedies, and green living products. The company sells over 700 national and private-label brands across multiple sales channels: (i) 643 retail locations across the U.S., (ii) company website, (iii) digital in-app purchases, and (iv) third-party marketplaces.

Founded in 2013 and based in Los Angeles, Kingswood is a private investment firm that invests in middle-market companies, with a strategic focus on businesses at inflection points in their development. Kingswood brings relevant industry relationships and a broad network of internal and external operating resources to strengthen businesses and enhance value for all stakeholders. Kingswood currently has approximately $3 billion(1) of capital under management and is investing out of its third institutional fund, which was oversubscribed and held a final close in July 2024 above its hard cap with approximately $1.5 billion in capital commitments.
