Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that TRAFiX LLC (TRAFiX), a leading provider of equities and equity options order and execution management systems (OEMS) and FIX connectivity solutions, has been acquired by Trading Technologies International, Inc. (Trading Technologies or TT), a global capital markets technology provider.
The TRAFiX platform offers innovative global OEMS, real-time FIX connectivity, and normalized API interfaces. Founded in 2014, TRAFiX delivers scalable, low-latency trading applications designed to resolve complex workflow and regulatory requirements across global equities and options. Supported by a high-touch service model, TRAFiX enables financial institutions to streamline order routing, enhance market access, and optimize their electronic trading operations.
Trading Technologies, owned by 7RIDGE and Thoma Bravo, is a global capital markets platform services company providing market-leading technology for the end-to-end trading operations of Tier 1 banks, brokerages, money managers, hedge funds, proprietary traders, commodity trading advisors, commercial hedgers, and risk managers. With its roots in listed derivatives, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company delivers “multi-X” solutions across asset classes, functions, workflows, and geographies. The TT platform ecosystem features trade execution across futures, options, fixed income, foreign exchange, and cryptocurrencies, augmented by solutions for data and margin analytics, trade surveillance, clearing, and post-trade allocation.
With the acquisition of TRAFiX, the enhanced TT platform will enable customers to replace fragmented legacy vendor stacks with a modern, cloud-native trading architecture. It will help them unify and simplify risk management with capital efficiency across all asset classes in real time; automate workflows and seamlessly execute innovative cross-asset trading strategies; and expand venue access through a single connectivity layer reaching key liquidity providers worldwide across exchange-traded and over-the-counter (OTC) products.
