Houlihan Lokey Advises Workdry

Transaction: Workdry - Holland Pump - XPV Water

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Workdry International Ltd. (Workdry), a U.K.-based critical infrastructure partner to water utility and engineering firms, has acquired Holland Pump Holdings (Holland Pump), a specialty pump rental platform and a portfolio company of XPV Water Partners. Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive buyside financial advisor to Workdry. The transaction closed on August 1, 2024.

Workdry has a 70+ year track record and is now a leading cross-Atlantic provider of critical equipment and solutions to support the U.K.’s water infrastructure maintenance and large-scale infrastructure projects. Through its operating brands Selwood, Siltbuster, and Vanderkamp, Workdry provides rental-based engineered solutions for water handling and wastewater treatment from 25 sites around the U.K. and Europe, with a fleet of over 6,000 pump assets and over 1,000 modular wastewater treatment assets. Workdry was backed by Arcus Infrastructure Partners (Arcus) in 2022. Arcus is a $10 billion AUM investor focused on long-term investments in European infrastructure, targeting middle-market, value-added infrastructure investments.

Founded in 1978 and headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, Holland Pump is the largest integrated, pure-play specialty pump rental and water management solutions provider in the Gulf and East Coast markets. Holland Pump provides mission-critical pump rental, service, and engineering solutions with a primary focus on the water infrastructure market. The company operates from 15 branches with a rental fleet of more than 1,000 pumps.

This move aligns with Workdry’s strategic goals and follows its acquisition of the leading Dutch engineered pump rental solutions business, Vanderkamp Group, earlier this year. It establishes Workdry as a formidable player in engineered pump rental solutions on a cross-Atlantic scale.

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive buyside financial advisor to Workdry. This transaction is another successful deal for the firm’s industrial technology team with continued leadership in the water technology and solutions sector. More importantly, it is another case study of Houlihan Lokey’s ability to leverage international presence, deep sector coverage, and strong relationships to put its clients in a position to win in competitive processes.
