Mr. Solomon is a Director in the FinTech Group within Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Finance business, where he specializes in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, and other corporate finance engagements. He is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Mr. Solomon’s transaction experience includes advising Flexiti Financial (POS finance) on its sale to CURO; Odessa on its investment from T.H. Lee; Newfi on its sale to Apollo; Stadion on its sale to Smart; and VCP on its sale to Covetrus.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Solomon was a Director in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business. He focused on advising clients in the financial institutions sector, including TransferMate Global Payments on its minority stake sales to AIB and ING; Deutsche Börse on its proposed merger with the London Stock Exchange and sale of its ISE options business to Nasdaq; and American Century Investments on its minority stake sale to Nomura. Before Perella Weinberg, Mr. Solomon was an Associate at The Blackstone Group, where he advised clients on a broad range of strategic transactions, including Aviva on its sale of River Road to AMG and Dynamics Inc. on its Series C investment from MasterCard and CIBC. Previous to Blackstone, he worked at Credit Suisse Group AG and began his career at Cornerstone Research.
Mr. Solomon earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
