Mr. Ellison is a Managing Director and Global Head of Houlihan Lokey’s FinTech Group and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He also serves as the firm’s Chief Innovation Officer. Mr. Ellison has worked in the technology investment banking sector for three decades. He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Ellison worked at Jefferies, where he was the long-time Head and then Chairman of the firm’s Technology Banking group. His other roles included Head of Tech, Media and Telecom; Co-Head of Investment Banking; and seven years as a Vice Chairman of the firm and member of the firmwide Executive Committee. Before that, Mr. Ellison was President of technology M&A boutique Broadview International, which was acquired by Jefferies in 2003. He began his investment banking career within Morgan Stanley’s Technology Group.
Mr. Ellison has been a senior executive in the FinTech world. He served as the U.S. Chairman and Executive Committee Chairman of OurCrowd, the world’s largest digital venture and growth investing platform with more than $2 billion of committed capital invested in well over 300 companies and funds. With the objective of leveraging that experience, he also serves as the Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance department’s Chief Innovation Officer.
Mr. Ellison graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and History (with honors in each major) from Yale University and holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard University.
